All the gold in the world

 In front of a small bonfire, we lay on a soft blanket on the beach, the sand still warm from the heat of the sun, bodies entwined together. We watch the huge golden ball of molten fire in the sky sink slowly into the sea..its reflection seems to shimmer in a firey dance on the surface, turning the sky varied shades of orange, purple, red, blue..... small waves lap at the beach with a gentle slap. The peace of the night interrupted by the shrill screech of gulls searching for last minute bits on the sand... The sky slowly turns and inky ebony with stars shimmering on the horizon. Intimancy in its purest is ours on this isolated piece of sand. Images of the shimmering fire and stars echo in our eyes..We become one in each other..never to be lost again.. ~~~HGBear~~~ |
